Michael Misja, Ph.D., Psychologist, Clinical Director

Dr. Michael Misja is a psychologist who has a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary where he trained under Dr. Larry Crabb and Dr. Dan Allender. He also earned a Doctorate from Kent State University. For the past forty years he has written and spoken extensively on issues of mental health, marriage and family, from a Christian/Biblical worldview. He has authored and co-authored some well received books on marriage and spiritual growth. For ten years he developed and taught a program in Biblical Counseling for Moody Extension schools. He has counseled and taught in such diverse countries as Pakistan, India, Ukraine, Ghana, China, and Turkey. For several years he hosted the “Dr. Michael” call-in program on the Cleveland Salem radio network. While Mike is committed to helping Christians with their emotional, relational, and spiritual issues, he is skilled in the tools of psychology and counseling and has a depth of understanding for helping individuals who choose to not include faith in their treatment.

Mike derives great joy from his four adult children and his four grandchildren, who live much too far away. He loves Sam, his rescue Border Collie/therapy dog. Playing the guitar and riding his motorcycle (not at the same time) occupy much of his free time.
