Lisa M. Leinweber, Counselor

I am a P.C.C., Professional Clinical Counselor, licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board. I am also a Certified Wellness Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I am a Catholic Christian and feel truly blessed that I have been guided to North Coast Family Foundation allowing me to share your journey of healing by utilizing the gifts of best practices and faith. I recognize that the Catholic faith can be both a blessing and hindrance to healing. I, personally, find my Catholic foundation to be a healing and comforting presence in my life. I received my M.A. degree from the John Carroll University. I have 5 years of work experience in community mental health agencies as well as private practices. I am currently learning how to use a Christian solution-focused approach. I am trained in and utilize traditional evidenced based practices for clients who may not wish to focus on only Christian approaches. I have received training in and specialize in treating depression, anxiety disorders, bi-polar disorder, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, addiction and substance abuse, couples counseling, grief and loss, work-related problems, stress and anger management. I work with ages 13 and up (though most of my experience has been with adults). In my free time I enjoy listening to and making music (playing piano, singing classical choral and liturgical genres), spending time with my husband watching movies, auto racing, and most sporting events.
