Hank Jontony, Counselor

I am working on completing my internship at North Coast and will graduate with my M.A. in Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling from Ashland Seminary this spring. I’m working under the supervision of Mark Yoder, LPCC-S.

I have served my church in different capacities over the years leading small groups and mission trips for adolescents. I have also been a barber for over 15 years in which active listening, empathy, and relationship building has cultivated an extensive long lasting clientele. Through both of these life experiences God has ignited a passion in me for helping people address clinical problems such as depression and anxiety and also to help them reach their full potential and grow through hard life circumstances.

I use an eclectic style of cognitive—behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy and when requested, incorporating aspects of the Christian faith and biblical principles.

I’ve been happily married for almost ten years and have three kids. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outside, working out, reading and ultimate Frisbee.
