Annmarie Fani, Counselor

    My name is Annmarie Fani. I am originally from Ohio and have always lived here. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Akron and have had my License in Social Work since 1999. I received my master’s degree in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2017.

    I have experience in working with the elderly, domestic violence, trauma and those with chronic physical health problems that cause anxiety and depression. I have helped people with anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and PTSD. I have also helped people overcome grief, anorexia/ bulimia and various addictions. I have extensive experience in working with children, teens and families dealing with issues ranging from Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, ADHD, Adjustment Disorder and PTSD. I enjoy working with those experiencing complex issues that are even said to be difficult to treat.

    I have participated in different ministries at church including youth and homeless ministry. I enjoy music and dance at church and home. Art has been a passion of mine over the years. I am delighted to include a Christian Counseling perspective for those of faith who seek to have their faith honored and utilized in the counseling process.

    All of my work at North Coast Family foundation is under the supervision of Dr. Michael Misja, Ph.D. He is the provider of your psychological services, and I will be meeting with him regularly to review the progress of your treatment.
